Turkish foreign minister holds sideline meetings in Indonesia
Hakan Fidan meets his counterparts on sidelines of ASEAN meeting in capital Jakarta

ANKARA (AA) – Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Friday met with his counterparts on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) meeting in Indonesia.
In the capital Jakarta, Fidan separately held talks with Bangladeshi Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, Brunei Darussalam’s Foreign Minister II Dato Erywan Yusof, and his Vietnamese counterpart Bui Thanh Son.
Fidan also held separate closed-door meetings with Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and his Norwegian counterpart Anniken Huitfeldt.
Separately, Fidan met with EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell.
Earlier Friday, President of Indonesia Joko Widodo received Fidan for talks.
Fidan will also attend the 5th ASEAN-Türkiye Sectoral Dialogue Partnership meeting.
Türkiye regards ASEAN as the most important framework of cooperation in the region. The country was granted the status of ASEAN sectoral dialogue partner in 2017.
