Turkish foreign minister receives top EU envoy in Ankara

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Monday received Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut, head of the EU Delegation to Türkiye, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on X.

Fidan also met with the ambassadors of EU member states in the capital Ankara, it added.

No further details were released of the meetings, but they come at a tumultuous time for the world, including the continuing Israel-Palestine conflict in the Mideast, whose death toll on both sides since Oct. 7 is nearing 10,000.
