Turkish, Greek defense ministers discuss positive agenda in bilateral relations
Yasar Guler, Nikos Dendias agree to keep dialogue channels open, says Turkish National Defense Ministry

ANKARA (AA) - The Turkish and Greek defense ministers highlighted the importance of maintaining a positive agenda in bilateral relations, the Turkish National Defense Ministry said Wednesday.
Yasar Guler and his Greek counterpart, Nikos Dendias, exchanged congratulating on their new duties and conveyed wishes for success in a telephone call, the ministry said in a statement.
They stressed keeping dialogue channels open and agreed to the resumption of the Confidence-Building Measures Meetings and discussing relevant details during the NATO Summit in Lithuania.
The summit is scheduled for July 11 - 12 in the capital, Vilnius.
Guler, 68, served as chief of General Staff since 2018 and was appointed to his new by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan following his May 28 election victory.
Former Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias was appointed in Greece's new government led by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
