Turkish manufacturing capacity utilization ticks up in July

ANKARA (AA) - The capacity utilization rate of Türkiye's manufacturing industry rose in July from a month earlier, according to official data released on Tuesday.

Local manufacturing industry units operated at 77.1% of their capacity this month, up from 76.8 in June, Turkish Central Bank data showed.

The seasonally adjusted capacity utilization rate in the manufacturing industry edged up 0.3 percentage points to 76.9% in July.

While the highest capacity utilization in July was seen in investment goods at 79.6%, the lowest was in non-durable consumer goods at 73.2%.

Capacity utilization rate figures are based on the responses to a business tendency survey of local units operating in the manufacturing industry.

The Turkish Central Bank said 1,753 companies responded to the survey this month, and the data did not reflect the bank's views or predictions.
