ISTANBUL (AA) - The first exhibition of Istanbul Photo Awards 2022, an international photography contest organized by Anadolu Agency to support photojournalism, will open to visitors in the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul on Monday.
The award-winning photos of the contest will be put on display at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University until Sept. 30.
Many names from the photography and art world, including Greek photojournalist Konstantinos Tsakalidis, this year’s Photo of the Year winner, are expected to attend the exhibition.
The opening ceremony will be hosted by Anadolu Agency Director-General Serdar Karagoz.
The exhibition, which consists of the works of 19 photographers, is organized with the contributions of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
This year, the contest was supported by Canon, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), and Turkish Airlines (THY), the nation's flag carrier.
