Turkish missile producer eyes $500M in exports

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish missile producer Roketsan expects to reach $500 million in exports by the end of 2023, CEO Murat Ikinci said at the 16th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF).

The four-day major event, which began Tuesday in Istanbul, features cutting-edge defense products and technologies from domestic and foreign companies.

Interest from foreign delegations in Roketsan's products is very high, Ikinci told Anadolu.

The company is exhibiting seven defense products for the first time at IDEF, including air defense and missile systems.

Ikinci said the highest interest is for ammunition for unmanned aerial vehicles.

He stressed that Roketsan is having preliminary discussions for new deals at the event.

"We will see them as export successes very soon," he said.
