Turkish parliament head meets Kosovo’s president
Mustafa Sentop calls for support in Turkiye’s fight against FETO terror group

ANKARA (AA) - The Turkish parliament speaker on Tuesday met with Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu in the capital Ankara.
Speaking to media during his meeting with Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, Mustafa Sentop called for support in Turkiye’s fight against the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), the group behind the 2016 defeated coup in Turkiye.
"People who have committed crimes in Turkiye should not be protected in friendly and brotherly countries," Sentop said.
The Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), the group behind the defeated 2016 coup in Turkiye, and its US-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated the coup of July 15, which left 251 people killed and 2,734 injured.
FETO has a considerable presence outside Turkey, including private educational institutions that serve as a revenue stream for the terrorist group.
Noting that Turkiye has a strategic and cultural relationship with Kosovo, Sentop said that Kosovo's well-being is important for regional peace.
Osmani-Sadriu, for her part, thanked Turkiye's support for peace in the Balkans.
