Turkish parliament speaker in Ivory Coast to attend OIC conference
Numan Kurtulmus also expected to hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from participating countries, representatives of international organizations

ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast (AA) – Turkish parliament speaker Numan Kurtulmus on Sunday arrived in Abidjan, Ivory Coast to participate in the 18th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States, and for an official visit.
Kurtulmus was welcomed at the Gatl Military Airport by Adama Bictogo, the president of the National Assembly of Ivory Coast, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Abidjan Deniz Erdogan Barim, and other officials.
During the conference, Kurtulmus is expected to hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from participating countries and representatives of international organizations.
In his address to the conference participants, Kurtulmus will touch on various regional and global issues, including the Palestinian cause, Israeli attacks on Gaza, the need for collective action in the Islamic world, and the fight against Islamophobia.
The Turkish parliament speaker will also meet Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara, and Prime Minister Robert Beugre Mambe, among others.
