Turkish president discusses ties, regional matters with leaders of Georgia, Senegal
Erdogan thanks both leaders for solidarity their countries showed during Turkey's battle against forest fires

ANKARA (AA) - The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday held separate phone calls with the presidents of Georgia and Senegal.
In his call with his Georgian counterpart Salome Zourabichvili both leaders addressed bilateral ties and regional issues, said Turkey's Directorate of Communications.
Erdogan told Zourabichvili that the two countries could work on joint energy and transportation projects, taking advantage of new opportunities that emerged in the region.
With Senegalese President Macky Sall, the Turkish president also discussed ways to further improve bilateral relations, along with recent regional developments.
In both conversations, Erdogan expressed his thanks for Georgia's and Senegal's solidarity with Turkey during its battle against forest fires burning in the country's southern regions, the directorate added.
