Turkish President Erdogan meets Japanese premier in India
Closed-door meeting comes ahead of G-20 summit to be held on Sept. 9-10 in capital New Delhi

NEW DELHI (AA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday met with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in India for talks.
The closed-door meeting came ahead of the 18th G-20 Leaders’ Summit, which will be held in the capital New Delhi on Sept. 9-10.
No further information was shared about the meeting.
Diplomatic relations between Türkiye and Japan began in 1924 and the first Turkish mission in Japan was established in 1925.
Political relations were upgraded to the level of strategic partnership in 2013 and keep developing rapidly.
