Turkish reception leaves its mark on Cannes
Culture minister invites film industry representatives to Turkey to shoot movies

CANNES, France (AA) – Turkey’s Culture and Tourism Ministry held a “Turkish Day” reception Friday evening at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival, one of the most prestigious events in the business.
London-based Turkish designer Zeynep Kartal presented her collection made using sustainable woven fabric.
A mini concert was also given by Turkish percussionist Burhan Ocal at the reception, where Turkey’s cultural heritage and traditional tastes were introduced.
Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stressed that Turkey is a center of attraction for the film industry and invited its representatives to the country to make films and take holidays.
The festival will run through May 25.
