ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Tuesday held a phone call with his Romanian counterpart Luminita Odobescu to discuss the Palestinian issue in light of the recent developments in Gaza, Turkish diplomatic sources said.
No further details were shared regarding the conversation.
The Israeli army has expanded its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, which has been under incessant airstrikes since the surprise offensive by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7.
More than 9,800 people have been killed in the Gaza conflict, including 8,306 Palestinians and more than 1,538 Israelis.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected growing calls for a cease-fire, saying it will be a "surrender" to Hamas and that "this is a time for war."
