Turkish school in Pakistan’s capital celebrates World Milk Day

ISLAMABAD (AA) - A Turkish school in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad celebrated World Milk Day on Wednesday.

"On this day we intended to provide knowledge to our students regarding milk and dairy products, as well as their benefits," said a statement by Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools and Colleges.

Students were given a tour of a dairy farm where they were briefed on how dairy contributes to economic development and livelihoods.

"Students were taught about the importance of health and nutrition. They learnt to appreciate the farmers, who are working hard for their communities and well-being of the nation," the statement said.

Students were also given dairy products during the lunch hours.
