Turkish stock exchange begins midweek flat
BIST 100 index earns around 5.6 points at Wednesday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 10,492.91 points, up slightly by 0.05% or 5.66 points from the previous close.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 was down 0.52% to 10,487.25 points, with a daily transaction volume of 85.8 billion Turkish liras ($2.11 billion).
As of 10.20 am local time (0720GMT), exchange rates stood at 40.5845 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 46.9620 to the euro, and 54.2980 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,330, while Brent crude oil was trading at $71.70 per barrel.
