Turkish stock exchange begins Thursday up
Benchmark BIST 100 index gains 75.49 points at opening bell

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 11,442.42 points, rising 0.66%, or 75.49 points, from the previous close.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 0.31% to close at 11,366.93 points, with a daily transaction volume of 167.8 billion Turkish liras ($4 billion).
As of 09.55 am local time (0655GMT), exchange rates stood at 41.4720 liras to the US dollar, 48.8275 to the euro, and 55.9815 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,741.85, while Brent crude oil was trading at $68.35 per barrel.
