Turkish stock exchange begins Thursday up
BIST 100 gains over 55 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 10,959.01, up 0.51% or 55.1 points.
On Wednesday, the BIST 100 was up 1.63% to close at 10,903.91 points, with a daily transaction volume of 151.2 billion Turkish liras ($3.57 billion).
As of 10.10 am local time (0710GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.3670 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 48.9070 to the euro, and 55.5040 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,075.25, while Brent crude oil was trading at $63.30 per barrel.
