Turkish stock exchange down at open
BIST 100 index fails 34.45 points in opening session

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened at 3,392.43 points on Wednesday, down 1.01%, or 34.45 points, from the previous close.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 18.2533 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), from 18.2510 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate increased to 18.2288 from 18.3140, while a British pound traded for 21.0033 Turkish liras, down from 21.1100.
Brent crude oil was selling for $92.78 per barrel.
Analysts expect that central banks will continue to increase interest rates at historical levels in line with inflationary concerns, and volatility in the markets may continue until the meeting of the US Federal Reserve next week.
