Turkish stock exchange down at Thursday's close

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday with losses, down 2.43% to 3,363.12 points.

After starting the day at 3,452.15 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 83.84 points from Wednesday's close of 3,446.96 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.7 trillion Turkish liras ($148.3 billion) by close, with a daily trading volume of 81.7 billion Turkish liras ($4.5 billion).

One ounce of gold traded at $1,694.30 by market close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil decreased 3.45% to $90.85 per barrel as of 6.46 p.m. local time (1546GMT).
