Turkish stock exchange flat at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Monday at 10,767.85 points, down slightly by 0.03% from the previous close.

The BIST 100 index started the week at 10,791.65 points, falling 3.51 points from the previous close on June 14.

During the last week, the stock market was closed due to the Muslim holiday Eid al Adha.

The USD/TRY exchange rate was 32.8980 as of 6.05 p.m. local time (1505GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.3480, and the GBP/TRY traded at 41.7520.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,330.86, while a barrel price of Brent oil was around $84.90.
