Turkish stock exchange flat at midweek's open

ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index opened the midweek at 9,184.63 points, increasing slightly by 0.06% or 5.15 points versus the previous close.

At the previous close, the BIST 100 index dropped by 1.66% to 9,179.48 points with a daily transaction volume of 132 billion Turkish liras ($4.23 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 31.1820 as of 10.45 a.m. (GMT0745), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 33.7670, while the GBP/TRY rate was 39.4305.

One ounce of gold was for $2,037.55, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $82.30.
