Turkish stock exchange flat at midweek's open

ADANA, Türkiye (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 9,043.91 points, posting a slight decrease of 0.01% or 0.98 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index was up by 0.15% to 9,044.89 points, with a daily transaction volume of 83 billion Turkish liras ($2.44 billion).

As of 10.25 a.m. (0725GMT), the exchange rates stood at 34.2770 for the US dollar against the Turkish lira, 37.5650 for the euro, and 44.8060 for the British pound.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,614.56, and the Brent crude oil traded at $77.70 per barrel.
