Turkish stock exchange flat at open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Tuesday at 9,561.73 points, marking a slight decline of 0.04% or 4.03 points from the previous close.

On Monday, the BIST 100 index decreased by 1.06% to 9,565.76 points, with a daily transaction volume of 77 billion Turkish liras ($2.27 billion).

As of 10.00 a.m. (0700GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 34.0310, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.9945, while the GBP/TRY rate was 44.9080.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,514.80, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $80.30 per barrel.
