Turkish stock exchange flat at open
BIST 100 index drops around 5 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Wednesday at 9,753.17 points, marking a slight decline of 0.05% or 4.97 points from the previous close.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index was up by 1.89% to 9,758.14 points, with a daily transaction volume of 70 billion liras ($2.05 billion).
As of 10.30 a.m. (0730GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 34.1080, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.9450, while the GBP/TRY rate was 44.9805.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,569.40, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $72.75 per barrel.
