Turkish stock exchange flat at open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Wednesday at 10,033.67 points, marking a slight increase of 0.04% or 3.94 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index was up by 1.44% to 10,029.73 points, with a daily transaction volume of 101 billion Turkish liras ($2.99 billion).

As of 10.30 a.m. (0730GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 34.1380, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 38.1990, while the GBP/TRY rate was 45.7130.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,653.98, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $74.10 per barrel.
