Turkish stock exchange flat at open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened the day at 9,355.81 points on Tuesday, up slightly by 0.06% or 5.8 points from the previous close.

On Monday, the BIST 100 rose by 0.41% to 9,350.01 points, with a daily transaction volume of 89.9 billion Turkish liras ($2.28 billion).

As of 10.30 am local time (0730GMT), exchange rates stood at 39.3730 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 45.5920 to the euro, and 53.5010 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,388.40, while Brent crude oil was trading at $72.80 per barrel.
