Turkish stock exchange flat at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 5,372.37 points, down slightly by 0.01%, or 0.29 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Monday at 5,372.66 points, increasing by 5.05%, with a daily trading volume of 102 billion Turkish liras ($4.82 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 21.4750 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 23.2030, while a British pound traded for 26.7130 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $75.94 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,974.80.
