Turkish stock exchange flat at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 7,769.78 points, up slightly by 0.06%, or 4.82 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Thursday at 7,764.95 points, up by 1.33%, with a daily trading volume of 75 billion Turkish liras ($2.56 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 29.2050 as of 10.20 a.m. local time (0720GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 32.1630, and a British pound traded for 37.0680 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $80.05 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,059.75.
