Turkish stock exchange looking up at Wednesday open

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 7,982.71 points, a rise of 0.41%, or 32.65 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Tuesday at 7,950.06 points, falling 0.75%, with a daily trading volume of 91 billion liras ($3 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 30.2890 as of 10.10 a.m. local time (0710GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 32.9477, while a British pound traded for 38.5005 liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $79.59 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,028.10.
