Turkish stock exchange opens Thursday in positive territory
BIST 100 index gains more than 43 points at open

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 9,874.42 points, up 0.44% or 43.48 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 0.90% to 9,830.94 points with a daily transaction volume of 72 billion Turkish liras ($2.14 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.6040 as of 9.57 a.m. (0657GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.1682, and the GBP/TRY rate was 43.2448.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,493.20, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $79.93.
