Turkish stock exchange opens Thursday on high note
Benchmark BIST 100 index gains 34.54 points at opening bell

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 10,675.39points, rising 0.32%, or 34.54 points, from the previous close.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 climbed 0.61% to close at 10,640.86 points, with a daily transaction volume of 122.3 billion Turkish liras ($2.89 billion).
As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.2515 liras to the US dollar, 49.0430 to the euro, and 55.5535 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,207.25, while Brent crude oil was trading at $62.60 per barrel.
