Turkish stock exchange starts Thursday up
Benchmark BIST 100 index gains 39.59 points at opening bell

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 10,940.60 points, up 0.36% or 39.59 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, the BIST 100 rose 0.47% to 10,901.01 points, with a daily transaction volume of 125.1 billion Turkish liras ($3 billion).
As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 40.6770 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 47.6225 to the euro, and 54.5430 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,385.65, while Brent crude oil was trading at $67.05 per barrel.
