Turkish stock exchange up 1.5% at Thursday's close

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday with gains, up 1.5% to close at 3,536.58 points.

After starting the day at 3,519.85 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index jumped 52.16 points from Wednesday's close of 3,484.42 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.8 trillion Turkish liras ($152 billion) by close, with a daily trading volume of 32.2 billion Turkish liras ($1.7 billion).

One ounce of gold traded at $1,720.00 by market close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $94.16 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT).
