Turkish stock exchange up at Friday opening
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gains over 7 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) – Turkiye's benchmark stock index Borsa Istanbul opened at 2,141.09 points on Friday, rising 7.50 points, or 0.35%, from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index was up 2.14% at 2,133.59 points at Thursday's close, with a daily trading volume of 33.2 billion Turkish liras ($2.25 billion).
The Turkish Central Bank on Thursday kept its one-week repo rate – also known as the policy rate – unchanged at 14% in line with market expectations.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate increased to 14.7877 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), from 14.7040 at Thursday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 16.4149 from 16.3030, while one British pound traded for 19.4588 Turkish liras, up from 19.3470 at the last close.
Brent crude oil sold for around $109 per barrel as of 9.54 a.m. local time (0654GMT).
