Turkish stock exchange up at midweek's open
BIST 100 index gains around 38.7 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 10.403,23 points, up by 0.37% or 38.67 points from the previous close.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index fell by 1.82% to 10,364.56 points with a daily transaction volume of 107 billion liras ($3.3 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.5140 as of 10.55 a.m. (0755GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.3860, while the GBP/TRY rate was 41.5230.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,332.20, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $77.60.
