Turkish stock exchange up at open

ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 8,063.12 points, up 0.24% or 19.1 points versus the previous close.

The BIST 100 index increased by 0.72% to 8,044.02 points, the highest in one month, at Monday’s close, with daily transaction volume of 93 billion liras ($3.08 billion).

The USD/TRY exchange rate was at 30.1025 as of 18.25 (GMT1525), while the EUR/TRY rate was at 32.8500 and the GBP/TRY rate at 38.1280.

One ounce of gold was at $2,052.35, while barrel price of Brent oil was around $78.15.
