Turkish stock exchange up at open
BIST 100 index gains around 5.1 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Friday at 11,144.59 points, up slightly by 0.05% or 5.14 points from the previous close.
On Thursday, the BIST 100 index was up slightly by 0.05% to a record closing level of 11,139.46 points with a daily transaction volume of 109 billion liras ($3.31 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.1155 as of 10.05 a.m. (0705GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.0850, while the GBP/TRY rate was 42.8330.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,421.98, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $83.70.
