Turkish stock exchange up at open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Tuesday at 9,737.17 points, marking an increase of 0.39% or 37.61 points from the previous close.

On Monday, the BIST 100 index decreased by 0.73% to 9,699.56 points, with a daily transaction volume of 66 billion Turkish liras ($1.94 billion).

As of 10.00 a.m. (0700GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 34.0295, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.6410, while the GBP/TRY rate was 44.6530.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,505.35, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $71.30 per barrel.
