Turkish stock exchange up at Thursday open

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 10,274.38 points, a rise of 0.26%, or 26.63 points, from the previous close.

On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 0.86% to close at 10,247.75 points.

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.2560 as of 10.02 a.m. local time (0702GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 34.7214, while a British pound traded for 40.2513 liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $83.81 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,321.05.
