Turkish stock exchange up at Wednesday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index opened the midweek at 10,062.81 points, up by 0.11% or 11.43 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index rose by 0.53% to 10,051.37 points with a daily transaction volume of 91 billion liras ($2.81 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.3670 as of 10.10 a.m. (0710GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 34.7980, while the GBP/TRY rate was 41.2390.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,314.76, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $82.20.
