Turkish stock exchange up at weekly open

RIYADH (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Monday at 9,992.45 points, up by 0.77% or 76.83 points versus the previous close.

At the previous close, the BIST 100 index rose by 2.05% to 9,915.62 points with a daily transaction volume of 115.2 billion Turkish liras ($3.5 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.4010 as of 10.15 a.m. (0715GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 34.8195, while the GBP/TRY rate was 40.4070.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,331.65, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $88.40.
