Turkish stock exchange up at weekly open
BIST 100 index gains around 42.7 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Monday at 10,443.16 points, up by 0.41% or 42.69 points from the previous close.
On Friday, the BIST 100 index fell by 0.77% to 10,400.48 points with a daily transaction volume of 134 billion Turkish liras ($4.15 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.2200 as of 10.15 a.m. (0715GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 34.9890, while the GBP/TRY rate was 40.0120.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,324.97, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $81.10.
