Turkish stocks down at Thursday open
BIST 100 loses nearly 60 points at opening session

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 7,801.29 points, down by 0.76% or 59,59 points, from the previous close.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed at 7,860.88 points, up 0.20%, with a daily trading volume of 86 billion Turkish liras ($3 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 28.5255 as of 9.51 a.m. local time (0651GMT), while the euro/lira rate stood at 30.5465, and a British pound traded for 35.0532 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $79.94 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,954.50.
