Turkish stocks up at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish benchmark stock exchange was at 8,513.54 points at close on Tuesday, up by 0.31%, versus the previous close.

The index earned 26.58 points from Monday’s close.

Its lowest level was at 8,462.03 and highest at 8,562.70.

During the day, 54 indexes gained value and 46 lost.

The total transaction volume reached 164.4 billion liras ($5.8 billion), while the overall value of the index was at 7.3 trillion liras ($266.6 billion).

The USD/TRY exchange rate was at 27.5260 as of 18.35 (GMT1535), while the EUR/TRY was at 28.8150 and the GBP/TRY at 33.2170.
