Turkish stocks up at midweek close

BIST 100 index rises over 180 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index on Wednesday closed at 122,320.77 points, up 0.15% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 122,416.65 , Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index advanced 184.06 points from Tuesday's close of 122,136.17 points.

The price of one ounce of gold was $1,554.50 by market close, down from $1,568.30 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $56.01 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Wednesday.
