Turkish tech zone members meet with British AI minister to boost cooperation
'We work to bring our startups together with the right institutions and connect them with the right investors from international markets,' head of Turkish tech development zone Dijitalpark says

ISTANBUL (AA) - British Minister for AI and Online Safety Kanishka Narayan met with members of the Turkish technology development zone Dijitalpark Technokent with the objective of increasing foreign cooperation and attracting foreign investors.
Türkiye's rapidly developing technology and innovation ecosystem, coupled with Türkiye-UK trade volume reaching $22 billion, is creating a strong economic foundation, paving the way for new partnerships, according to a statement by Dijitalpark Technokent on Monday.
Members of Dijitalpark Technokent held meetings with the minister during a visit to the UK, in which they also met with the Turkish-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TBCCI) and Tech Nation and Level39, two major platforms supporting technology ventures and startups.
Dijitalpark Technokent CEO Tahsin Engin said in a statement that their main objective is to connect Turkish entrepreneurs with international investors and facilitate investment opportunities.
"We work to bring our startups together with the right institutions and connect them with the right investors from international markets,” Engin said, adding: "We plan to host a joint forum with the TBCCI at our Tech in Cube center."
Touching on Dijitalpark Technokent's thematic program for financial technologies, FINEXT, he said the program will be open to international participation.
Engin added: "Next year, we aim to take our FINEXT program one step further by holding its Demo Day event in London. This will provide Turkish entrepreneurs with the opportunity to take the stage in London, one of the world's most important financial centers."
