Turkish, Uzbek presidents meet in Hungary for talks
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev hold sideline meeting before attending Hungary's founding day celebrations

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday met his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the Hungary's capital Budapest.
No further information was shared about the closed-door meeting between Erdogan and Mirziyoyev.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban invited the presidents to Budapest to attend Hungary's founding day celebrations.
Later Sunday, Erdogan will also attend the World Athletics Championships.
Türkiye became the first country to recognize Uzbekistan in 1991, and diplomatic relations were established in 1992.
Ankara attaches great importance to the improvement of cooperation with Uzbekistan in all fields and wishes to further develop its relations.
