ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye aims to increase its bilateral trade volume with Greece from $5.5 billion to $10 billion, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday.
Speaking ahead of a bilateral meeting with his Greek counterpart Katerina Sakellaropoulou in Athens, Erdogan said both sides will discuss steps to achieve this goal during his one-day visit to Greece.
The Turkish president also said he believes the 5th meeting of the Türkiye-Greece High-Level Cooperation Council will be a key in strengthening a new era between neighboring countries.
Ministers from both sides will hold talks to improve relations, he added.
Erdogan and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will co-chair the 5th meeting of the Türkiye-Greece High-Level Cooperation Council to review all aspects of bilateral relations, and to address steps to improve cooperation.
