Türkiye arrests member of PKK structure in Austria

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish security forces arrested a member of the PKK terrorist organization’s structure in Austria, said security sources on Saturday.

Hidir Korkut was arrested in a joint operation by Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization and the Izmir Security Directorate.

In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK— listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and EU — has been responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
