Türkiye runs $3.4B budget deficit in October
Budget revenues amount to $17B, expenditures at $20.4B last month, Central Bank data shows

Türkiye's central government budget registered a deficit of 95.5 billion Turkish liras ($3.4 billion) in October, according to official data released on Wednesday.
Budget revenues amounted to 473.8 billion liras ($17 billion), while expenditures totaled 596.2 billion liras ($20.4 billion) last month, Treasury and Finance Ministry figures showed.
Non-interest expenditures came in at 475.54 billion liras ($17.68 billion), while interest payments reached 87.15 billion liras ($3.2 billion).
Excluding interest payments, the budget balance ran a surplus of 28.7 billion liras ($1 billion), while tax revenues totaled 409.4 billion liras ($14.7 billion).
In January-October, the budget balance posted a deficit of 608.1 billion liras ($27.2 billion).
Budget revenues reached 3.9 trillion liras ($175.2 billion) in the first 10 months of this year, while expenditures amounted to 4.5 trillion liras ($202.4 billion).
A US dollar traded for 27.8982 liras on average in October, while a dollar traded for 22.3372 liras on average in the 10-month period.
