Türkiye's automotive production down 8.7% in 1st quarter

Automobile production also down 7.3% in January-March 2025, while total vehicle market in Türkiye declined by 7%

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's automotive production fell by 8.7% on a yearly basis to 344,120 units in the first quarter of 2025, the country's Automotive Manufacturers Association said on Sunday.

Automobile production also fell by 7.3% in the same period to 220,927 units, the association added.

The total vehicle market declined by 7% on an annual basis to 285,818 units in the first quarter.

The automobile market also decreased by 4.1% to 223,793 units in the same period.

Total automotive exports fell by 0.9% on a quantity basis and imports also declined by 3.8%.

In this period, total automotive exports amounted to 254,683 units and imports to 196,687 units.

On a value basis, total automotive exports increased by 1.9% to $9.38 billion, while automobile exports increased by 11.6% to $2.75 billion in the first three months of 2025.
